Client Support Associate

Ahlam Ali brings a strong foundation in public accounting and a deep commitment to community service to her work at Sterling. She completes full-cycle accounting for nonprofit and philanthropic clients, including bookkeeping, monthly and annual reconciliations, grant and expense disbursements, and the preparation of financial statements. Her work ensures Sterling’s clients receive accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting to support their ability to maximize charitable impact.

Ahlam has extensive professional experience in administration, booking, and accounting. She has also supported audit and tax functions in fast-paced CPA environments and excels at strengthening workflow systems, client communication, and document management processes.

Ahlam has been actively engaged in volunteer service for nearly a decade and has earned the Presidential Volunteer Service Award multiple times for completing over 100 service hours annually. She has supported community initiatives and co-founded a program aimed at increasing mental health awareness as well as suicide prevention, particularly among youth. She has led, supported, and assisted with various youth programs, food and resource drives, and educational support programs.

She holds a bachelor’s of science in business with a concentration in accounting from George Mason University, and is skilled in financial reconciliations, tax preparation, journal entry analysis, QuickBooks, and technical communication.
