Charles Petrie

Executive Vice President

Charles Petrie is Executive Vice President of Sterling Foundation Management, a national provider of back-office administration for private foundations, charitable trusts, donor advised funds and other charitable entities.

Based in Raleigh, Charles helps legal, tax and financial advisors throughout the Southeastern U.S. implement and administer a wide range of charitable planning structures.

Prior to joining Sterling, Charles spent fifteen years in the financial services industry, most recently with Sentinel Investments.

Charles graduated summa cum laude from Emmanuel College in Boston. After college, he traveled the world in the Navy onboard the USS Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN-69), where he was in charge of keeping the two nuclear reactors running.

Charles devotes his free time to his community. He is a Director of the Frankie Lemmon School, a preschool for developmental delayed preschoolers, and is on the Advisory board of Band Together, a nonprofit that raises funds and awareness for select nonprofits through events that showcase and support musical talent.

Charles resides in Raleigh, NC with his two children and wife of fifteen years.
